There is hardly any better training for children than Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to improve body awareness and coordination, to increase self-confidence, but also to practice respectful cooperation and fairness. A sense of balance, attention, energy, discipline, security, reducing aggression – the list of positive aspects of BJJ training for children is almost endless. At the same time, the kids also learn to defend themselves in threatening situations. The risk of injury is lower than in other martial arts, since no kicks or punches are allowed in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Instead, the focus is on throws, locks and ground fighting.
